Scenes from an American Parking Lot

Molly sets out with her ultra-patriotic 80-year-old mother and two young adult children on a family road trip to Historical Washington Crossing Park to fulfill her mother’s birthday wish. Their supposed plan is to meet Billy, a Revolutionary War private tour guide, at the crack of dawn. However, Molly’s mother Betsy has ulterior motives for an intervention about Molly’s future, leaving Molly revolted by her mom’s stubborn refusal to evolve. Meanwhile, Molly’s reluctant kids are frustrated by their family’s uncritical reverence for history and the intergenerational dysfunction affecting them all.
